Owner

Jackie Hogan

Jackie Hogan, cofounder of Ginger Events, was literally born into the hospitality field. She was born in London and at age 8 the family purchased and moved into The Wooden Bridge Hotel near Avoca in County Wicklow, Ireland. The hotel had 2 ballrooms and often two weddings on any given Saturday. It was a true family run operation and little Jackie was all too happy to be in the middle of the hustle and bustle, the fancy dresses and the magic that is a part of any wedding. She was hooked from the start! Having extensively traveled throughout Europe in her aviation career, she landed in the Philly area, which she now calls “home.” She has raised 4 kids in the US and gained years of experience as an event planner at Peoples’ Light And Theater, French Creek Country Club, Downingtown Country Club, Normandy Farms Hotel, Blue Bell Country Club, and the Brandywine Valley SPCA to name just a few. She has worked so many weddings that she likes to say, “I speak bride!”

Their Story

The two redheads met planning an event. Jackie was working for the Brandywine Valley SPCA and was looking for an event venue for the organization’s gala. Maureen was the catering manager at the Brandywine River Museum of Art in Chadds Ford. During their initial meeting, Jackie and Maureen instantly realized that they shared the same standard of impeccable customer service, nurturing nature and understanding of what makes an event successful. Since that time, the friendship has grown along with the professional respect and singular vision that brought them together to form Ginger Events.
